Far Cry 3 looks to separate itself from its predecessor Far Cry 2; that took place in the African plains.In Far Cry 3 you’ll be on a tropical island trying to escape what appears to either be mercenaries or local militia that are pretty…well…crazy. I am so looking forward to this game. When the game was announced at last year’s E3, they showed us a trailer that harped on the word insanity. And now with this trailer we have a new word, stranded. In the trailer below which is all done in high quality CGI we get a glimpse of how desperate the situation is, and just how crazy and depraved the main antagonist is. It would be an island completely surrounded by water, and not 1 a wolf could just “swim” to. However, is it probable for wolves to survive on a tropical island? Let’s say… Someplace all around the Pacific?
My buddy and I are arranging a trip for up coming summer. We want to journey to a tropical island. Appearance clever we like the island in the film Mama Mia. We have a fairly very low price range seeing as we are students. We’re hunting for excellent islands to journey to without having getting to shell out thousands upon hundreds of dollars.
What sorts of meals would destroy you if you had been trapped on a tropical island? They can be poisenous, dangerous, anything.
LIke in the movies when people are stranded on a tropical island, what would be an island like that to visit?
I want to move to a very remote tropical island and live in the wild like people did long ago. catch my own food, build my own shelter, live off the earth. could you do this? or does every remote island have some kind of government or authority that would stop you from living there in the wild, or would they even care if you did. This is my main concern.

I heard that someone was planning on making a CGI Fallout movie like the old Starship Troopers CGI series but a full length movie. I have only heard rumours about the movie but nothing substantial.

I’m really into drawing and always wanted to do CGI as a career but I don’t know what I should major in to make money in what I love doing. I asked this question again because no body answered it before.
I’ve seen how many people seem to resent the use of CGI in films. Whether it’s live action or animated films I’ve heard the phrase “just a lot of special effects” or “showcases special effects” or “too much CGI”. I bet these are the same people who have absolutely know practice nor knowledge in creating CG art. I myself have been doing computer animation for years and I still haven’t matched the quality of work done by professionals in the film industry. I’ve always found it easier to go out with my camera and film real places and people rather than create everything in the computer from scratch and make it just as good. People just don’t seem to realise how difficult it is to make good CG nor the skill required. They seem to think it’s all easy. If it were easy then why would so much of the CGI in many films end up looking fake like they do? I just find it a shame that people simply reject the use of CGI in films and don’t appreciate the talent and hard work that goes into it.
I am preparing a website and i need to involve CGI so I can bring back data entered by my “clients”. How can I do this? Which language shall I use. I am not interested in using Perl as it is much of an out-dated language and cannot be used with Visual Studio 2008. So, answer this:
Which language to use?

How to do it on VS 2008?
I’m just curious what happens when you find all the diamons in Far Cry 2; besides of course being richer. An acheivement, extra mission, or nothing?
So i’m heading off to university next year to study cgi animation and want to buy a new PC that will easily manage with programmes such as Maya, 3DS Max, ZBrush etc etc. I have no idea what graphics card i’m in need of, processor or even the amount of ram so any help is very much appreciated.

What line of programs does the Art Institute of Phoenix teach as far as CGI?
I am currently trying to learn Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, Cinema 4D, Daz, ZBrush, Endorphin and a few others to get an idea of 3D theory on my home computer.
I just want to know which one they use in case I end up going there.
Is going to college even worth it for that or can I effectively teach myself?

I have both in my abyss web server set up, only cgi works, but not .pl. any idea?
I have perl.exe installed of course, or else my cgi wont work. and the path was set up on abyss web server.
I am using windows server, so I guess it should be #!c:/perl/bin/perl instead of /usr/bin/perl
Do I need to install apache http server in order to make it work? By the way, I already have abyss web server on.
