DariusBurst Second Prologue Arrives on the App Store

The Darius series has had a long gaming legacy that stretches all the way back to the arcades in 1986. Its games have graced multiple platforms across vastly different console generations- from the ZX Spectrum to the PlayStation to the current batch of i-devices. The franchise received a long-awaited revival in 2009 with the release of DariusBurst for the PSP, but now are taking those ideas even further will the launch of DaruisBurst: Second Prologue for , and . Second Prologue incorporates the key features of the original DariusBurst as well as components from its arcade follow-up DariusBurst: Another Chronicle to create a fresh shoot-em-up experience.

The new version touts “remixed” single player options, beginner friendly ships, customizable touch controls, music tracks from  Taito’s Zuntata sound team and an unlockable in-game visual catalogue. The game also packs 59 Game Center achievements and a set of global leaderboards to help measure your skill.

    I know you could system Simple on a spectrum but the genuine games, were they written in assembler?
