Xbox Live ‘House Party’ Priced and Dated
February is fast approaching, bringing with Xbox Live’s ‘House Party’ promotion. Last years promotion featured a pretty hard hitting line-up and this year isn’t going to disappoint. We already knew the names of the titles that are headlining but today Major Nelson has revealed the exact release dates and pricing for each of the games.
Warp is a quirky puzzle platformer from developers Trapdoor. The gameplay see’s you solving a variety of puzzles in a Portal-esque environment. Warp kicks off this years ‘House’ Party at a very reasonable 800 MSP.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is more of a reboot than an actual sequel to Remedy’s original game. This time we see the aptly named Alan Wake fighting an alternate version of himself named ‘Mr. Sparks’. Coming in the second week of the promotion this will set you back a very modest 1200 MSP.
Nexuiz – February 29th
Nexuiz is an arena based FPS from developers IllFonic. It’s an extremely fast paced and competitive game that could easily challenge the likes of established XBLA shooters like Monday Night Combat. This game takes the 3rd week of the promotion and carries an 800 MSP price tag.
I Am Alive – March 7th
It’s been a long journey but Ubisoft’s long awaited title I Am Alive is finally hitting consoles. This game, originall the project of Darkworks, is a survival game based in a city ravished by a cataclysmic event. Players must battle the elements, the environment and other survivors in an effort to find out what happened and re-establish contact with loved ones. This is a fitting end to the ‘House Party’ promotion and is well worth the 1200 MSP that it costs.
Only time will tell whether this year will top the fantastic games of previous years, but with these 4 titles lined up I have a strong feeling it just might be. Stick with us here at TGF for reviews on these games closer to their release!Powered by Sidelines
