Welcome to the inaugural edition of TGF’s Fanatical Five! This is a weekly post where we’ll be taking you through a top 5 list of something that’s relative to your interests, be it cosplay, games, movies or foodstuffs. Each week we’ll aim to bring you the best of the best in each specific category.
As this is the first edition of Fanatical Five we figured that we’d start with something simple, popular and relative – naturally we picked cosplay. Unlike most sites “top 5 got cosplay” lists we aimed to do this a little differently, instead of just going for the skimpiest costume or the largest…assets, we decided to go for most authentic cosplay. We scoured the internet for 5 examples of female cosplay done right, done so right that others need not apply. Although this didn’t prove to be as easy as we figured we worked at it and we have 5 fantastic examples for you today. Rather than keep you waiting let’s dive straight in at number 5!
5. The Baroness
The first entry in our list may not be one of the more obvious choices, but just look…..how could we not include her? Remember when sienna miller played her in the film? yeah… they got that TOTALLY wrong. This is who should of been playing the part, I don’t care about here acting credentials.
4. Jack
Jack’s an odd character, she’s not the most obvious paramour choice in Mass Effect 2 but she still came out as one of most well developed characters from the game. Why did she make our #4 spot? Because of the fantastic level of detail in the costume and the sheer uncanny nature of her looks. You can cosplay as Jack without a great deal of effort, but this is the reason why you should put the effort in; the result is almost flawless.
3. Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a character all about subtlety. Her makeup uses soft tones of red and white and her outfit is simple with complex areas. All of which has never been done properly until now. The cosplayer absolutely nailed the cosplay of Elizabeth from Bioshock: Infinite, her hair is perfect, her outfit is perfect, heck even her posture and facial expression is…perfect. The only thing you can add to this beautiful cosplay is the bird swooping down and whisking her away back to her tower.
2. C. VIper
Crimson Viper or C.Viper for short was one of those cosplays where its too easy to mess up. But you’d be surprise how many images we went through of people doing it half-ass or just plain out wrong. And after what had to be 4 hours we came across this one. This is the best C.Viper cosplay we seen of her hands down. Some people are made to cosplay certain characters, and she was made to cosplay as C.Viper hands down.
1. Lightning
Why did lightning make #1 you may ask? It’s because they some how managed to Scan a digital character from a video game and place them in the real world. From her outfit to her facial structure everything is just spot on. There was no other choice except for lightning to be #1 in this list of Top 5 Fanatical cosplay’s.

What button(s) do I need to have to press in purchase to use the preemptive strike in Last Fantasy 13?
I just remembered this scene, and am drawing a total blank as to what display it is from.
A girl (main character) entered a cosplay contest as a genuinely common magical girl/sci-fi character. The judge gave her the prize since she had the only home-made costume. One Particular of the losers was the super-snotty voice actress for the character.
Any ideas? I believe the main character only began observing the collection since her friend/boyfriend was so obsessed with it.
I have the adhering to wigs, but I Am not certain who I can cosplay making use of them.
Long pink pink that have wavy ends.
Long directly blue wig
Short purple wig
Medium duration blonde wig
I’m not really tall nor skinny, so some aid would be great. I also never want anything at all also sexy. Cute, a guy, and many others is very good though.
Oh, and anime, manga or sport is okay too.
Thanks!
I surely would like to take a closer look at bioshock infinite elizabeth
Yeah I played it before and now that I cleaned my hardrive for some weird reason. I would like to play it again. But when I go to the marketplace the only Bioshock Demo there is the first one.
So any help please?
You obviously are not a Console Expert. Because there has been a demo that has been release to the public. So if you dont know anything, why even answer?
Hey, I looked online to see if Bioshock Infinite will have multiplayer, but I cant find anything on it. I dont know if anyone knows of an interview with Ken Levine. I will end up getting it either way because of how rich and compelling the stories are in this series, i was just wondering out of curiosity. Thanks in advance!
I watched some videos of cons where a host goes around and talks to people in various cosplay, and most of them (and the people walking around in the background) have really low-quality costumes; badly fitting – often really loose, cobbled together with other clothes that don’t match at all, etc. Also, a lot of overweight people in revealing costumes. Why would you even make a cosplay if you don’t have the patience or skill to make a decent costume? Do any of you settle for bad costumes?
Will I be able to play Bioshock Infinite without having played the first and second ones?
The thing is the graphics look really cool.
Also are they any good, should I buy them?
What’s the main story of the game?
Is the game play a bit like Fallout 3 (I’ve played Fallout 3 and liked it).
I’m playing with a PC
I’m asking for the main story of the first two games btw
I really didn’t like how in the previous Bioshock games, you very graphically stab yourself with a syringe every time you use a plasmid. In Bioshock Infinite, are there still graphic injections or do you get new abilities by drinking from bottles like in the 10 minute trailer?
Okay, my friend is short, maybe 4″9, and have brown hair, maybe a little passed her shoulders with blond hair underneath and blue eyes. She needs a cosplay, but our convention is going to be around in less than a month, so we need a quick cosplay that we can throw together fast.
But she’s being difficult and needs one that don’t involve wigs or hair dye….
Help?
I want to join a Cosplay team, and I’ve been looking online for groups in my area. So far, I haven’t gotten any good information on this. Does anyone have an idea on where to look for cosplayers in different states?
I’ve been trying to figure it out for quite some while. I look on sites and stuff but i get a different date every time. And another Questions, Where can i get a slicer mask? or the little sister costume. I’m planning on dressing up as a splicer or little sister for anime central (Acen) in chicago. Thank you (:
I’m going to a anime convention in a few months, And i was wondering where i can find a reliable website that sells cheep cosplay (by cheep i mean maybe something under 100$) So any suggestions?
Btw I’m hoping to cosplay as Kagamine Rin. Thanks.
I heard about BI, but I haven’t heard of any dates planned. Does anyone know when? Oh yeah, this is for Xbox, but they should all come out the same day right?
Now i hear that for playstation you get a free copy of bioshock 1 and it may be better because of blu ray, but I also hear that they may have dx 11 (please tell me anything you know on this subject) and the graphics may be better, though it would not be true to their history. Does anyone know what the smartest thing to do?
I recently saw the trailer….and im a huge bioshock fan..but im gunna miss the gloomy atmoshphete of rapture
…but infinite looks really cool 2…….i jst want 2 c what other ppl think
I have seen the Announcement trailer but was wondering if there was anything else that someone knows about this game.
I want to know where can i watch a bioshocl infinite 15 minute demo.
