The creative studio behind the iOS game Galaxy on Fire 2, Fishlabs, announced its second expansion entitled Supernova. Picking up where the first expansion, Valkyrie, left off, Supernova will follow the story of pilot and adventurer Keith T. Maxwell. New missions, enemies and gear to outfit your favorite ship with are promised, as well as improved graphics and sounds. Supernova should take players around ten hours to complete.
‘We’ve put a lot of time and effort into the writing of the complex new storyline, which includes a lot of new mission types and makes for a truly outstanding gaming experience. But also the graphics and the sound design will be absolutely top-notch! When it comes to Supernova, the name really is the game!’, says Fishlabs CEO Michael Schade.
Galaxy on Fire 2 is one of my favorite games on my iPad, very similar to the old PC game Freelancer. It has an epic story and a very large galaxy to explore, as well as a wide variety of ships to purchase and upgrade. Combat is fast paced and controls are tight. Graphics are already very solid, so I’m curious to see where they go with the new expansion. Galaxy on Fire 2 is a prime example of hardcore gaming in iOS devices.
Supernova will debut at GDC 2012 in San Francisco, and is currently set to be released Q2 2012. If you haven’t checked out Galaxy on Fire 2, it’s well worth it.

A supernova is a star that explodes but so too is a nova – what is the difference? Is a supernova just bigger?
This may be a dumb question, but if the supernova remnant (the Crab Nebula, for example, which is theorized to be the remnant of a star that was recorded as having been witnessed exploding in 1054 A.D.) was once one star, then how can many stars form and continue forming from the remaining material (not even all of the material) of the one original star?

Chicago Fire will be playing LA Galaxy at their home stadium in Carson Ca (The Home Depot Center) on October 2 a Friday at 8pm. I am trying desperately find a way to surprise my Husband and get ticket/passes/seats something that will guarantee a chance for him to get autographs(preferably Cuautemoc Blanco) Anyone know how it can be done? Where to get seats that wont cost me an arm or a leg? I have done everything ….. talked to Chicago Fire’s promotion Dept…. to Best Buy Entertainment Dept (the team sponsor) None of them have a SPECIAL autograph session planned out. Advice Please. OR even good tickets someone wants to sell??
This is assuming that the human race will be around to witness it as it can go off anytime between 10-1000 years and many experts I have read on that matter agree that it will clearly outshine the Crab Nebulae, be definitely a lot brighter than a full moon but dimmer than the sun and possibly be the brightest supernova ever recorded in human history.
