Sucker Punch, the studio behind the PS3 exclusive ‘inFamous‘ series might be working on the franchises 3rd iteration. Or at least their job listings would have you believe so. There are currently 5 open positions over at the Sucker Punch website that are calling for high level individuals with experience.
The specific demands for real AAA experience is what really puts credibility behind the idea of inFamous 3‘s development:
Senior Game Designer
Qualifications:
· The ability to design, implement and tune ground-breaking gameplay systems
· 2-5 years as a designer on released AAA games; this is not an entry-level position
Senior Level/Mission Designer
· 3-6 years as a mission designer on top-notch action titles
· A proven capacity to learn new technology, scripting languages, engines and systems, especially industry-standard content creation tool
All of the listed positions call for the same levels of experience, these two just stand out as being more indicative than the others. At the moment Sucker Punch have no official titles in development, meaning whatever is being worked on is being kept tightly under wraps. Could this mean we’ll be seeing a reveal at E3 in June? Who knows. Now we play the waiting and see who makes the first move.
