Steel Series is one of the leading manufacturer of PC peripherals, known for their high quality and customer-friendly pricing. Today they announced a new product in their line-up, aimed both at the PC market as well as expanding to the ever expanding mobile gaming market.
In partnership with Zeemote Technology, Steel Series today announced the Ion Wireless Gaming Controller. This sleek controller is designed for full PC functionality as well as offering classic control schemes to gamers on touch screen devices such as tablets and phones. Connecting wirelessly via Bluetooth, the controller can be fully customised through it’s own application.
[pullquote_right]“For consumers with tablets and Smartphones, it really is an ideal accessory”[/pullquote_right]
“For PC users, the SteelSeries Ion is a convenient alternative, especially if they want something other than their mouse or keyboard as their tool. And for consumers with tablets and Smartphones, it really is an ideal accessory. Whether you’re sling shooting birds or playing a word game with friends, there are games that are ideal for touch screen. Those types of games however, are not the only games available; there are a number of first-person shooter and RTS games that aren’t downloaded or played as frequently as they could be, because the touch screen doesn’t provide an optimal experience. The SteelSeries Ion provides the advantage for those types of games.”- said Bruce Hawver, SteelSeries CEO.
The slim controller is the size of a deck of cards (roughly 108mm x 55.5mm x 18mm) making it ideal for easy storage and transportation. The controller also boasts a rechargeable lithium battery that can provide up to 20 hours of wireless fun or be used in conjunction with a plug and play kit for unlimited wired use.
Anybody familiar with any of the current generation consoles will quickly and easily get to grips with the Ion as it features the classic twin-stick design that’s become the convention in recent years. To help make it unique the buttons can be customized via an easy-to-use interface for PC and Mobile devices, allowing for a truly individual gaming experience.
The controller will be released this coming fall with pricing top be announced closer to the release window. For more information on the new controller or other products from the Steel Series line-up then visit the Website, or follow Steel Series on Facebook and Twitter

My phone memory is full and I am trying to bluetooth music from my laptop on to the memory card in my phone. I have gone in to settings, then memory settings, then default memory and I have set them all to memory card. When I try to bluetooth the music it says that there isn’t enough room, but there is loads of room on my memory card. Can anyone help?
1: does it have bluetooth capabilities even tho it has an icon
2: how do i pair my bluetooth headset with it
I’ve heard many people say that they are talking on a bluetooth. I know Bluetooth is the technology used in many cellular phones but I people are confused about it. I try to convince people that they aren’t talking on a Bluetooth. Instead, you are using a wireless head-set. So, I need some additional information.
Okay, my hpone has bluetooth, and my computer came with it, but it wouln’t come up when i clicked on the icon. So, I deleted it. Can you download it off the internet for free? If so, how do you connect it to your phone. Thanks.
I’m planning on buying a new cell phone, and one of the features is stereo Bluetooth. The phone can also play MP3s, so does this mean I can listen to music through my Bluetooth earpiece?
I got a stereo bluetooth headphone recently and wonder if I can use it while driving, it covers both ears. The reason I ask is because It’s so much more comfortable than any bluetooth headsets that rest on one ear. Thanks!
My dad bought me a laptop for Christmas (an Advent) and it said it had bluetooth on it.
For the last few months I’ve been trying to get the bluetooth to work, but I have no idea where to start.
Any ideas?
