Sony Brings Down Price of Tablet S

After just three months of the Tablet S’s launch, Sony has decided to slash the device’s price across all models. The 32 GB version, which was originally $600, is now $500 and the 16 GB version has been brought down from $500 to $400. I guess setting prices on par with the iPad 2 just didn’t work out. After all, people always seem to be more willing to pay an arm and a leg for an Apple product as opposed to anything else.

The great thing (in my eyes) that makes the Tablet S worth its cost, besides the fact that it runs on Ice Cream Sandwich, is that the device is able to download and play games from the PlayStation Store, like the Xperia Play and the PlayStation Vita. So if that’s what you’re really looking for in a tablet and can fork over the $400/$500, the Tablet S is probably for you. Sony’s yet to confirm whether this price slash is permanent, so take advantage of the tablet’s lowered price.
