Tekken 3D Prime Edition Receives Release Date

Next year the  is finally going to receive an installment from one of the most established franchises in .   is set to deliver the King of Iron Fist Tournament to the Nintendo handheld.  On Valentine’s day, 2/14/11, this anticipated game is set to be released.  Since the Nintendo 3DS has clearly established the capacity to go 3D, this will give  3D graphics for the first time in the series 16 year existence.   will be a great addition to the handheld system with nice visuals and a roster featuring over 40 fighters.

This game will look to capitalize on the Wi-Fi capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS.  It will also utilize the StreetPass  feature so players can  exchange Tekken cards.  Players will be able to fight each other with an impressive backdrop of graphics at 60FPS.  This will be the 2nd time the Tekken series has appeared on a Nintendo system.  Last time this happened, it was for Tekken Advance which was released 1o years ago.    It received mixed reviews and simplified the controls of Tekken.  Now that times and technology have changed, Tekken 3D Prime Edition will utilize the full capacity of the Nintendo 3DS to deliver an impressive fighting title.

As if this weren’t enough, NAMCO BANDAI  is offering players a special bonus to be included with this game.  For the first time for the Nintendo 3DS the game card is also going have the full-length computer generated animated film, Tekken: Bloodlines Vengence.  This film was produced by Digital Frontier responsible for CG animated films: Resident Evil: Degenration, Death Note, & Appleseed was directed by Youichi Mouri (responsible for directing the opening movies for Tekken 5 & 6: Bloodline Rebellion).
