Since the announcement that a console version of Minecraft was announced there’s been precious little information to be had, well the silence has been broken now thanks to Stuart Platt, one of the producers over at Microsoft Studios (NewBreedOfNerd on twitter). Here’s the details that have been announced so far:
- The game will be released in spring 2012, expect a date closer to the time
- It’s planned to be a downloadable XBLA title
- It will Cost moneys
- It’s being developed by 4J studios, with oversight by Mojang
- *Update* The Game will feature undisclosed Kinect Functionality
- *Update* A preview build should be playable at MineCon
Okay, so it’s still slim pickings, but this is at least a start. We’ll hear more information at MineCon in November, with more details coming in the months building up to the games release.
We’ll keep this post updated incase of any further announcements so remember to check back! and as always stick with TGF for all the latest news as it hits!
