NHL 12 is on the way, as is the actual NHL 2011-2012 season. I’m going crazy for both, I love hockey and I’ve played every iteration of the franchise since NHL ‘96. It seems as though EA wants to take a little bit of the focus off of all of the new wonderful mechanics to enhance the feeling of realism they’re known so well for with the NHL games, and instead put some effort into also including some sort of Legends of Hockey team. Or it could very well be a mode that we just haven’t been made aware of. EA put up a new trailer for NHL 12 on www.gametrailers.com called ‘Exclusive Legends’. What one could imply from the title of that video is that there will be Legend players in the game, but that maybe the Xbox 360 or PS3 get different ones. Or, it could even be some sort of preorder bonus we were not made aware of until now. However it plays out, I want to play as Bobby Orr – one of the three hints in the description of the video. Seems we’ll know more details about these Legends by August 11^th, if you tune into www.gt.tv. In the meantime, catch the trailer below!
