More Leaked Details on Sony's "PlayStation" Tablets

It wasn’t long ago that Sony announced two tablets, the S1 and the S2. It appears that Sony let slip a plethora of details surrounding these tablets, including the fact that it will be running on an Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system. Apparently the Sony support site was already dishing out the goods on the S1 and S2, and though the information has long been taken down, we’ve got 8 screenshots that give you an idea of what these beauties can do.

Hardcore Android users can definitely breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the tablets will ship with the latest version. In the gallery below you’ll see screenshots of the app launcher,  built-in Wi-Fi checker and more. You’ll also notice a Chumby app. “Chumby is a sort of internet companion that’s designed for a bedside table. Sony’s Dash ‘Internet Viewer’ is powered by the Chumby OS, so it makes sense that the S1 and S2 will be able to use the Chumby app to fill a Dash-like role, though the redundancy between Chumby and the ‘Dash Dock’ is perplexing. Along with the Chumby app, other screenshots show Zinio, indicating that this will likely come pre-installed as well. Zinio is a digital magazine publishing platform with apps available for iOS and Android.”

Further screenshots show Sony’s proprietary power adapter, and their keyboard which comes with a number pad.

But enough reading, feast your eyes on the gallery below!

The S1 and S2 are slated for a fall release, and their official names are still unknown.

Thanks Carrypad.
