Thirty Days of Video Games Day TwentyOne – A Game Sequel that was a Disappointment

After spending a lot of time in Rapture I was extremely excited for the second installment of . I was a bit worried that Boston wasn’t heading the project but instead Marin took over. Was this small change in developer caused this game to not be better or as good as the first?

I was very disappointed as I played 2 that I wasn’t getting the same feeling that I got while playing the original. I didn’t feel that Rapture was reinvented nor that something new was added to the world of . For me, 2 felt like a slightly longer than most DLC and something that 2K wanted to release solely for online play. I’m still going to try out Infinite but I’ll be renting it before buying just in case.

Another sequel that really let me down was : The Force Unleashed 2. I started to hear news that the game was short and beatable in about a day or two. This worried me and I didn’t want to spend sixty dollars on a game that I can beat that fast, even if it’s a game.

Turns out the rumors were right and the Force Unleash 2 was a very short game and felt even more of a DLC than 2. I was left sitting with my control in my hand thinking, “wait, that’s it”. The best thing that came out of Unleashed 2 was the done by the guys of Robot Chicken.
