You can’t keep a secrect unless you try really hard in the (that happened a few times at ) but this one couldn’t.

As Exec’s tried their best to keep the pricing of Kinect under wraps until GDC, but it looks like even they couldn’t do those themselves.

They have priced the Kinect on the US Store website for $149.99, much to the rumours that were floated before and during E3.

Packaged with the Kinect is the following:

• Kinect sensor for
• Power supply cable
• User’s manual
• Wi-Fi extension cable

So all in all it seems to be bigger version of the Wii senor bar with a power cord but without a controller?

A little troubling though are the fine print points below all the information here;

*Xbox LIVE Gold membership required.
• **175 MB of memory required.
• †Play space will vary with sensor placement and other factors.

If you don’t have Xbox Live, be prepared to folk over $59.99 and make sure you have room in your house and on your Xbox 360 HDD.

You can pre-order Kinect now at various retailers near you.

Update

The official Xbox support team, recently stated that even though the price is on the site, it is not yet offical. In a tweet to another user, this is what they had to say:

Its is not the official price we will post info when we have it.

Well., there you have it. Until they come out and officially announce the price, we are still in the shadows.
